Jules Rimet, F.I.F.A 1966 World Cup Trophy Replica

Commission to replicate the trophy design to a set of dimensions different to those of the officially documented size. This project was to accompany a research project challenging the official record of events of the trophy’s theft and return, written by James Lynch. James believes the trophy was never returned and a replica put in its place.

Replica was drawn out to scale, moulded in clay and then cast in a plaster resin and painted.
